Saigon markets and we all completed…two new classrooms at the school in Vietnam to give 180 more children a better life hope than a few bucks sorting rubbish, a new water tower at the orphanage in Cambodia to supply and support their self-sufficiency organic food program, also due to the generosity of our sponsors a new classroom their too!
A few moments to explore the magic of Vietnam before heading back into the strikes at Heathrow - thank you to the people in Cambodia and Vietnam for teaching us all that their ‘wealth’ is in their happiness and on that measure I just wonder for a moment if it is not us that are the third world country….?
These children love this school, we loved meeting them all…they sang us songs and played with us.
Home for these children, the happiest faces and “hello’s”….and now a school with their best hope in the world - we are cycling Angkor to Saigon and 180 children have an education to take them off the dumps…let’s make this happen!
The children live on the rubbish tip, this is one of their homes, they recycle rubbish collecting all the blue bags together, all the white bags together, all the red bags together etc, to earn a couple of bucks to live - at the bottom of Vietnamese society, they do not get an education - Catalyst makes the difference giving these very happy children a wonderful education, the money provided specifically from this cycle ride will provide two new classrooms and the opportunity for 180 more children to have an education.
